Sweetie is really such a joy. She gets so excited when I come home from work. I usually let her out of her cage but she is somewhat of an overactive baby. I put her back in her cage for about a half hour and get her calmed down, take her out again and then we usually have a nice calm evening. I understand her excitement and I treasure the way that she feels about me. Last night she was extremely cuddly, resting her head on my chest and just loving everything that I do to her. She absolutely goes to pieces when I ask her if she wants a kiss - what a clown. If she is resting on my arm she'll start nudging me for more kisses or will hang her head down from her cage to get a kiss. I really really love owning her. She gives a whole new meaning to "affection."

Sweets is doing great. She has been a real anchor for me, doing funny things, seeming to know when things were really tough for me. She definitely made me laugh through many tears. During the past few weeks she has really started to talk a lot more. It is quite funny to hear her when she is in her cage, hanging by one toe yelling "Help Me!" The first time I heard her I went running down the hall to check on her and when she saw me coming she started doing her Ha Ha Ha. Recently she has started saying Let Out, Let Out. She has gotten so many new feathers in and she looks stunning. She will do a lot of things only for me. I can say to her "let me see your wings" and she spreads those wings out like a very proud bird. I am going to take in her in soon to have her wings clipped and nails trimmed. Owning Sweets is truly an enlightening experience. She is definitely 100 percent attached to me and I just love it. And boy is she an escape artist. She sometimes gets her food doors open and we will find her sitting on the top of her cage like a really proud monster. My daughter found her out when she came home from school and I had to hear how she had to wrestle Sweets back into the cage. Truly never a dull moment. But the little darling is doing great, learning new things all the time, including woofing like the dogs!

Thought I would let you know that Sweetie is doing just great - celebrated her birthday in high style.  She is getting quite a vocabulary and seems to be learning many new words and phrases every week.  And what a character.  We added a new mastiff to our clan, Mindy.  A beautiful apricot brindle.  Sweets and Mindy have finally reached their dog to bird agreement, Ms. Mindy likes to chase Sweets around on the floor, it is so funny.  Sweets really like my big boy Rudy.  She was sitting on her stand the other day eye to eye with him and she kept saying Hello to him and was getting crazy because he was just looking at her, and then she started the many voices that she say Hello in.  Finally she gave up and entertained herself by picking up his ear flaps and dropping them a million times until he got tired of it.  Poor Rudy, if only he could talk to her.

Her new phrases "I want out," "Let me out", and the really amazing one to me -- if I am downstairs and Sweets is out on her cage or stand she will start yelling "Come up."  As soon as I come upstairs she settles down.  We definitely have fun and she really is a momma's birdie!

So as you can tell, we're having fun and I can't wait to be able to put her outside in her auxiliary cage when the weather finally breaks for us.  She should really "entertain" my neighbors!

He is doing great. I am really enjoying him. He loves to sit on my scrunchie in my hair so i always have some sort of dried food in my hair he uses it as a napkin. I have actually been really sick for the last 2 weeks, so sick that I could not get out of bed ,whatever it was affected my head so I had no balance. I would see to the birds and then get back into bed, etc. Gypsy spent all his time with me on the bed and on a play stand right next to me. He has adjusted to us with no problem and is an absolute delight. It is like having a baby all over again because he keeps doing cute things that have me in stitches. He sits on my head when I shower then gets cuddled in a towel to be dried. He has lots of toys etc in his cage and is quite happy to play in it . I dont want to bug you guys so if you email me whenever you want an update I will be more than happy to oblige.

Molly and I are getting along just great. She is much more than I expected, of course I'm used to my fathers African Greys that he bought out of the classified ads of the news paper, most of them were pretty mean and they always bit you. Molly is just so friendly and loving, you did a wonderful job of raising her.I leave her cage door open all day,she rarely ventures out until I set in my favorite easy chair and then she flys over to be with me. Sometimes she flys off my lap and lands on the floor some where, all I do is softly call her name and she comes waddling back to me. She does love to nibble on you anywhere fingers, ears, nose, but mostly my lower lip. She doesn't pinch or bite just nibble.

Everything went smoothly last Wednesday. The little guy arrived in a very sociable frame of mind and attracted a crowd at the airport. He's been eating pretty well and seems very healthy- he's going to the vet tomorrow.
You obviously paid him a lot of attention, he couldn't be any more happy and tame around people. He doesn't scream or shriek yet either- I hope that's permanent!! No favorites or grudges being taken yet. He's being spoiled rotten, but that's OK for now.

Earl is awesome, talking like crazy- I can't count all the things he says anymore... Andy Griffith theme, What was that? Dog barking in response to what does a dog say, same with cat cow, owl (very funny), quail and cardinal imitations to a tee... You've heard it all before but what amazing animals. In the process of training him to an old Richard Pryor routine for my former college roommates entertainment- the short phrase is "You crazy!"- he associated it with me and it unfortunately has become my name! When he wants me he yells "Crazy" at the top of his little lungs...

I have been meaning to write to you for some time now.  I have some great photos to send you.  Ziggy is an absolute joy!!!  He is such a clown.  He loves to flap and play.  I have him climb the stairs for exercise as well.  He & Echo have become great friends and they both follow me everywhere.  I can't thank you enough:)
Ziggy makes me smile every day.  We love him very much.
Please feel free to give my name to anyone for a reference.  Ziggy arrived here very well socialized and in great condition.  It took him no time at all to adapt.

Just a short note to let you know Facet is doing great. She is so funny. She doesn't like me to put her away she will climb in her bed and pout and then look out like is she watching. If I pick up the tiel she flaps her wings and screams like put that bird down and pick me up. She is such a sweet bird.

Forgive me for not writing sooner.  But my work keeps me busier than I'd like. I wanted to let you know what a green bundle of joy Engelbird is for us.
After getting him clipped, school was in session!  Now, he is stick-trained to step up and step down.  He lets me touch him all over, and give him showers.  I even taught him to wave hello, spread his wings on cue, hold a flag with one foot and play dead.  Then, he also sits on a toy horse with wheels (see photo, but it's lousy, I'm afraid), holds the reins, while wearing a bandanna and cowboy hat. We're still working on him saying "giddyap."
But that will come.  He's talking up a storm, mumbling god-knows-what, like practicing things he hears.  He says "hello" clearly, as well as "Wuzzup?" And, much to our surprise, on Thanksgiving, when we had company over, he started laughing--just like my hubby.  What a hoot he is! The other day he began saying "Merry Christmas."  He's trying to say much more, and I know that given time, he'll talk a blue streak. He learns very quickly.
I know, I'm bragging on him, and I'm sure you hear lots of similar stories.  But it's always nice to know the people you sell birds to are overjoyed with their birds.
Santa brought him a skateboard and ladder this year and some bird trick tapes.  So, we've got our work cut out for us!
